The Nigeria Police Force has rescued four persons who were kidnapped in Edo State following a coordinated security operation aimed at tackling violent crime in the area.
According to police authorities, the rescue operation was carried out after intelligence gathering and surveillance led officers to the suspected hideout of the kidnappers. On sighting the approaching security operatives, the suspects reportedly fled into nearby bushes, abandoning their captives.
The rescued victims were safely recovered and later reunited with their families after receiving preliminary medical attention. Police officials confirmed that none of the victims sustained life-threatening injuries during the operation.
The Commissioner of Police commended officers involved in the rescue mission for their courage and professionalism, describing the successful operation as evidence of the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property.
