FG Calls for Integrated Diagnostic Services to Strengthen Healthcare Delivery

The Federal Government has called on stakeholders and partners to enhance the integration of diagnostic services into Nigeria’s healthcare system. This initiative aims to improve efficiency, eliminate duplication, and optimize resource utilization.

Speaking at the National Summit in Abuja, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Iziak Salako, emphasized the importance of leveraging multiple technologies and maximizing the contributions of diagnostic professionals.

Dr. Salako highlighted that integrating diagnostic services could:

Representing the World Health Organization (WHO) Country Office, Dr. Laxmikant Chavan outlined ongoing efforts to enhance laboratory services, strengthen diagnostic networks, and ensure sustainable access to high-quality diagnostics across the country.

By investing in integrated diagnostic services, Nigeria aims to build a more robust healthcare system that benefits both citizens and the economy.
