Odumosu made this known during a courtesy visit by delegates of the National Association of Northern Nigerian Students (NANNS) in Abuja. He described the growing involvement of youths in such social vices as a serious threat to the future of the nation and the moral fabric of society.

The NSCDC commandant, who was honoured with a Meritorious Award of Excellence as an Icon of Selfless Distinction by NANNS, expressed appreciation for the recognition. He noted that the award would serve as motivation to intensify efforts toward safeguarding lives and property across the FCT.
“This recognition is not mine alone; I dedicate it to my management team and personnel whose relentless support continues to drive our success,” he said.
Odumosu also commended NANNS for its proactive role in nation-building, particularly through initiatives such as seminars and sensitisation programmes aimed at discouraging social vices among students.
