The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has felicitated Muslims and all Nigerians on the occasion of Eid-ul-Mawlid, marking the birth of pProphet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
In a message signed by Yusuf Dingyadi, Senior Special Assistant, Media, to the APC National Chairman said the occasion serves as a reminder of the timeless virtues exemplified by the Prophet, including peace, unity, tolerance and compassion.
Professor Yilwatda said such values were particularly important at a challenging period in Nigeria’s national journey, noting that they could provide a pathway towards healing, unity and renewed hope.
He urged Nigerians to regard the country’s diversity as a source of strength rather than weakness.
As the country approaches another electoral season, the APC chairman called on Nigerians to reject division, intolerance and violence, stressing that no political contest should be allowed to destroy the bonds of brotherhood and national unity.
Professor Yilwatda also called on the Muslim Ummah to use the occasion to pray for lasting peace, security and prosperity in Nigeria, as well as wisdom for the nation’s leaders.
He expressed optimism in Nigeria’s future, describing the country as a nation blessed with immense talent, resilience and promise despite its challenges.
The APC National Chairman prayed that Almighty Allah would accept the prayers of the faithful, bless families and communities, protect Nigeria and guide its leaders with wisdom and courage.He wished Muslims and all Nigerians a peaceful, joyful and spiritually rewarding Eid-ul-Mawlid.
