The Sokoto State Police Command and the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) have agreed to deepen collaboration in tackling the rising cases of digital violence against women and girls. The Acting Coordinator of the Commission, Barrister Rashidat Muhammad, said the visit was part of activities marking the 2025 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, themed “Unite to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls.” She noted that digital violence such as cyberstalking, online harassment, hate speech, and the non-consensual sharing of intimate content is becoming a major threat to the safety and dignity of women and girls. According to her, law enforcement must play a central role in addressing these emerging crimes. In response, CP Ahmed Musa commended the Commission for its outreach and assured them.
