The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced September 3 as the official passing-out date for members of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II who are completing their mandatory one-year national service.
The announcement marks the final stage of the service year for the corps members, who have spent months working in different parts of the country after completing their orientation and other NYSC activities.
The passing-out exercise is expected to take place across the various states of the federation, with corps members receiving their Certificates of National Service after meeting the requirements of the scheme.
The NYSC programme, established to promote national unity among Nigerian youths, involves graduates being deployed away from their states of origin to serve in communities, government institutions, schools, private organisations and other approved establishments.
During the service year, corps members participate in four major components of the scheme: the three-week orientation course, primary assignment, Community Development Service and the final passing-out process.
The NYSC management has consistently encouraged corps members to approach their final days of service with discipline and commitment while ensuring that they complete all necessary documentation and clearance procedures.
The scheme has also urged outgoing corps members to take advantage of opportunities available through its Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme and other post-service initiatives.

As the September 3 passing-out date approaches, corps members are expected to complete their respective clearance processes at their places of primary assignment and local government areas.
The completion of the service year will formally bring their participation in the national youth service programme to an end, although many are expected to remain engaged in employment, entrepreneurship, further education and community development.
The NYSC has also continued to encourage outgoing corps members to uphold the values of patriotism, discipline, hard work and national unity that formed the foundation of their service.
The passing-out ceremony will therefore serve not only as a conclusion to the service year but also as a transition into the next stage of the corps members’ professional and personal lives.
The announcement has generated excitement among members of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II, many of whom are now preparing to begin a new chapter after completing their national assignment.
