In preparation for the upcoming Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) successfully conducted its 2025 mock exam on Thursday, with over 211,000 candidates participating across accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide.
The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, who monitored the mock exercise at a CBT centre in Bwari, Abuja, confirmed that the mock exam results will be released on Friday.
According to Prof. Oloyede, the UTME mock is designed to test the board’s readiness for the main exam, as well as introduce and evaluate new strategies aimed at enhancing the examination process.
“The only way to pass the UTME is through diligent study,” he emphasized.
Prof. Oloyede also raised concerns about the increasing number of candidates attempting to cheat by visiting rogue websites. In response, JAMB has launched a decoy website to expose and deter such fraudulent activities.
This bold move underscores the board’s commitment to ensuring the integrity of the examination process.
A quick reminder: the 2025 UTME is scheduled to kick off on April 25th across approved CBT centres in Nigeria.
Candidates are encouraged to stay focused, avoid shortcuts, and prepare thoroughly using credible resources.
