Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has reaffirmed that the club’s long-term ambition remains winning the Premier League, despite their disappointing FA Cup exit to Fulham.
The Red Devils bowed out of the competition in dramatic fashion, losing 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw following 120 minutes at Old Trafford. This marks United’s earliest FA Cup exit as defending champions since the 1996-97 season when they were eliminated by Wimbledon in the fourth round.
Speaking to the press, Amorim acknowledged the setbacks but emphasized that the club’s primary objective is to reclaim the Premier League title. While he admitted uncertainty over the timeline for achieving this goal, he remained steadfast in his commitment to long-term success.
Currently sitting 14th in the league, United’s only remaining chance at silverware this season lies in the Europa League. However, Amorim insists that the team remains focused on building for the future and returning to the pinnacle of English football.
