Jos Palm Sunday Killings: FG, Tinubu, Mutfwang Vow Justice, Intensify Security Response

President Bola Tinubu and Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang have vowed to ensure justice for victims of the deadly Palm Sunday attack in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, which claimed 28 lives.
The President strongly condemned the killings, describing the attackers as “heartless cowards” who targeted innocent citizens under the cover of darkness. In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu warned that such acts were aimed at provoking reprisals and escalating violence.
He directed security agencies to intensify efforts to track down the perpetrators and prevent further attacks. The President also emphasized the need to curb misinformation capable of worsening tensions, urging citizens to cooperate with authorities by providing timely and credible intelligence.
Tinubu assured Nigerians that security forces were actively addressing the situation and reiterated his administration’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property. He also called for the immediate rescue of abductees from Kahir village and commended the efforts of Governor Mutfwang and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani in managing the crises and supporting response operations.
